    Application Deadline: Applications are accepted on a rolling basis from January 1 to December 31. Open submissions are accepted until funds are expended.

    Award Announcement: Loan approval takes approximately 3 weeks after receipt of a completed application, followed by a loan closing process of up to 3 weeks.

    ABOUT THE CLEAN ENERGY FUND

    The Clean Energy Fund resources are designed to help municipalities, non-profits and businesses in New Hampshire better control long-term energy costs by financing the implementation of energy efficiency improvements and renewable energy technologies when economically appropriate.

    All applications must be received by CDFA through its online grants management system (https://nhcdfagrants.org).

    The Clean Energy Fund also provides technical assistance to current and prospective applicants, including review of work scopes and energy audits, as well as assistance identifying other funding and financing resources.

     

    ELIGIBILITY GUIDELINES

    Eligible applicants for the Clean Energy Fund include New Hampshire nonprofits, municipalities and businesses implementing energy efficiency measures or renewable energy projects (biomass, thermal, solar, etc.).

    The Clean Energy Fund program prioritizes projects that meet the following criteria:

    · Projects result in 15% Minimum Energy Savings or in the production of Renewable Energy;

    · Energy Efficiency work requires a Level II Energy Audit (Single measure lighting projects may be excepted);

    · Estimated lifetime project savings must be greater than cost of project;

    · Term of loan may not exceed estimated useful life of project;

    · Consultation with appropriate utilities regarding incentives for EE projects is required.
